Wedding Party
Maid of Honour
Lindsay Gray
Lindsay is Megan’s Maid of Honour, and baby sister. When there is
just two of you in a family, it’s natural to become each other’s best friends (and worst enemies at times!). Megan
and Lindsay have so many memories of their childhood that an essay could be written on their adventures. We’ll save
the funny embarrassing moments for Lindsay’s wedding! Lindsay has always been there for Megan, and forever will be.
While fighting and bickering was common, as it usually is between two siblings, there was always much more love, laughter,
and plenty of "goofing off". Lindsay and Megan have always had just each other, which is what makes their relationship so
special.
Lindsay is a Personal Support Worker for the Canadian Red Cross.

Bridesmaids
Dana Aitken-Howes
Dana and Megan met in Grade 9 when they both made the Junior Girls
Volleyball team at JDSS. Over the years, they developed a friendship that included
participating in airbands, partying on the weekends, and of course studying together! The two of them spent many days and
nights stressing over calculus and various other annoying classes. They continued to be each other’s support systems
throughout their University lives, when late night tearful phone calls were not uncommon! Their ambition and drive concerning
academics and careers have always complimented each other, as they continue to support each other in every aspect of their
lives. Dana has always lent her ear to Megan whenever she’s needed advice or just someone to listen, which is why she’s
such a very important part of Megan’s life.
Dana is a Public Health Nurse in Walkerton.

Stacey Bell
Although Stacey and Megan initially met during their "Ringette" days, they
started to really get to know each other in Grade 10. With common interests and friends, Stacey and Megan began a high school
life full of phone calls, teen dances, and sleepovers! Many weekends were spent at Stacey’s cottage in Port Elgin, and
in the basement of her parent’s house. Stacey and Megan were lucky enough to attend University in the same city, where
they were able to continue to visit and go out together. When they chose to live together in Megan’s 2nd
year of University, knowing that they could be roommates and get along so well did not come to a surprise to them. From having
Megan in her own wedding party to sending Megan a sympathy card when her cat Tabby passed away, Stacey’s thoughtfulness
and caring heart has always been something Megan could count on.
Stacey is an Employment Counsellor in Fergus.

Dawn Taylor
Dawn and Megan have known each other since elementary school at James A.
Magee. It’s hard to say exactly when they met, as they often walked to and from school together. When Dawn asked Megan
if she wanted to walk to high school together in the summer of Grade 8, they knew it was the beginning of a great friendship!
They continued to walk to school together (or hitch rides for siblings and parents) for the rest of their high school lives.
Dawn has been a constant in Megan’s life for a long time, and continues to be that person that Megan can always count
on to be there no matter how far the drive or how inconvenient it may be. Dawn spent many dinners at the Gray’s household,
and still lends a hand with their computer problems today. She has recently moved back to Grey County, where she and Megan
will just have more excuses to get-together!
Dawn is a Network/IT Administrator in Owen Sound.

Heather Jackson
Heather and Megan have also went to school together since elementary (Grade
7), but started hanging out in Grade 10. With mutual friends and interests, Heather and Megan soon discovered that their "chattiness"
was just one of many personality traits that they had in common! While they spent many summers and weekends walking around
to get to where they needed to be, the best day of their lives was when Heather got her license! Because she was the first
one to get this, she was stuck driving the gang around. Thanks goodness for "Betsy"! And thank goodness for such a good friend
that has been there for Megan for over 10 years. It’s hard to maintain a long distance friendship, and Megan and Heather
have been able to do this easily.
Heather works in the television industry in Toronto.

Kara Grace
Kara is one of the kindest and most imaginative people Megan has ever met.
Megan first met Kara during her post-graduate studies in Human Resources Management at Georgian College in Barrie. Megan and
Kara quickly knew they had a lot in common and spent a most of their time phoning each other over school projects, and of
course chatting it up in class!
Megan and Kara’s inability to handle too much liquor or stay up late
is a trait they soon discovered they had in common! Although Kara is Megan’s most recent friend, she has proven to always
be only a phone call away. Since college, Kara and Megan have managed to stay in touch. They have been each other’s
punching bag for relationship advice and Human Resources problems! Who else could Megan talk to about her career woes? Only
Kara would understand.
Kara works as an Employee Relations Coordinator in the Human Resources
Department at Casino Rama.

Melanie Fraser
When Drew first met Melanie
as a baby, his first words to his mother were: “what is that?” Melanie is Drew’s oldest friend. They
have many childhood memories together such as playing Ghostbusters, pretending to be in a band, playing Barbies (when at Mel’s
house) and playing Tonka trucks and tractors (when at Drew’s house) just to name a few.
Today, Drew and Mel still enjoy beating each other up, dancing the first dance at weddings and being a support system
for each other.
Megan met Melanie in
Grade 7 and started hanging out with her in high school. They already knew each
other quite well before Drew and Megan met, so Melanie was able to give her advance warning about the hyper blond guy. Megan and Melanie have several memories together from their teenage years including
air bands, hunting deer with Megan’s car, and frequenting field parties.
Megan is glad that Drew has such a good friendship with Melanie and is happy to be part of that as well.
Melanie is a Critical Care Nurse in the burn unit at Sunnybrook Hospital
in Toronto.

playing Madden 2004. Drew was John’s best man in his wedding in August
2004 and they recently went on a road trip together to Tennessee. John is also an affiliate of the “Bentinck Boys”.

Jason Emke
Jason and Drew’s
parents were friends, and they first met before they even started school. They
spent a lot time building forts with chairs, playing ice hockey, and working with sheep on the farm. To this day, they still enjoy doing the same things (minus the fort building), and spend a good portion
of their time talking about farming, agribusiness, touring Bentinck and getting into mischief.
Jason is an official member of the “Bentinck Boys” and was instrumental in helping Drew and Megan meet.

more beer. Drew was a groomsman in Barry’s wedding in October 2003, vacationed

Falls and Buffalo with him. The two of them enjoy golfing and e-mailing each other all day at work.

Aaron Nudds
Drew and Aaron met in
grade 7 when Drew started at James A Magee
Community School. Drew and Aaron spent a lot of their time getting into trouble in Mrs. Wilken’s and Mr. Sopkowe’s
class (i.e. hooking up a water system into a classmates desk). Drew remembers playing road hockey outside of Aaron’s
house and is also very proud to admit that they achieved an almost perfect score on Mrs. Bechberger’s test on the human
skeleton. Today, Aaron and Drew enjoy having “video game fests”,
sampling exotic beers such as Brava, and discussing the Cleveland Browns, the Buffalo Bills, and the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Aaron is teaching in the Toronto area.
Jared Rahn

Drew and Boomer met in
Kindergarden or Grade 1 at Dawnview Public School (Drew doesn’t
remember exactly when). They got together frequently as kids to go dirt biking
and to build ramps for their dirt bikes. They also enjoyed playing road hockey. Currently they still enjoy spending time together doing woodworking, playing Madden
2004, working on various construction projects and watching football at Boomer’s place on Sundays. They also spend a large amount of time phoning each other frequently during working hours.

the BDO Orientation at Talisman Resort , a.k.a. “party fest”. They
have many special memories together from that orientation week, including doing karaoke and experimenting with snowboarding. After this experience, they knew they had a lasting friendship that would include
many special events together such as tubing down the Saugeen River, comparing accounting query notes, going on road trips
(or at least planning them), drinking beer, discussing country music, and of course playing Madden 2004.
